I have alot of thoughts about these images. One, how awesome that this spring roses are blooming wild all over Pittsburgh. This is a street island and so these roses are like weeds. The city is currently covered in weeds like this. I wonder if the overgrowth of roses has anything to do with the records amount of snow this winter. Also, of interest, the park in the distance is Friendship Park. When I moved to Pittsburgh, the water fountain ran constantly throughout the summer. And then last summer, the water was off. Today, I noticed a new water fountain with a faucet that turns on and off (push button) and a water bowl action low down for the doggies. Friendship Park also recently hosted a free market where folks bartered and exchanged services and goods (thin difference between verbs and nouns) without using cash. I have been living without an ATM card since the end February. When I take cash out at the bank, I always ask for cash in denominations of tens, fives, and ones. I also try to remember to put some nickels and pennies in my pockets before I leave my apartment.
Note on process: it took me forever to figure out how to center the last picture. for some reason when I put the image last it would end up overlaid on top of the other photos. I tried to fix the problem by editting the html, but ended up also having to use the compose feature. (I uploaded it with "none" formatting, then cut and paste the code to the bottom of the page, and then on compose highlighted the image and chose a center alignment. I have no idea why that was so difficult.
